Strength:

BIC produces BIG bass without busting your bank account. 100 watts of RMS power and a down firing speaker will give pleasant lows without the boomy sound, just a nice punch of extra low frequency bass that will fill a small to medium sized room. Nice complement to any surround system. Very compact and can be hidden very easily.

Weakness:

Can't think if any.

Strength:

Low cost.

Weakness:

Hums.

This thing hums all the time. It works, but you can hear a hum if you sit within 5 feet of it. It's not my receiver since it occurs on two receivers that I have and other subs don't hum with those same receivers. I tried plugging it into the same outlet as the receiver and in different outlets. It always hums. When I try to move it, it hums really loud. I think Something is loose. I called BIC tech support and they wouldn't take it back. They gave me a suggestion for fixing it that included shielding with tin foil. Why am I fixing it? I still own it and use it, but I wish I'd bought something else.
