Strength:

Low ext. Can't over drive them, circuit protected. Make nice end tables.

Weakness:

Yet to find any, honestly.

Well guys, looks like I'm the first to post about this FANTASTIC sub from ACI ! Let me first say that I have owned,IN MY THEATER ROOM, for extended periods of time, at least 12 subs in the last few years. I buy my gear for dealer cost from a freind of mine and I change gear quite often. Prior to these Maestro TWINS, I owned over the course of a 2 year period, about 6 SVS subs, the last one being the fabulous B4+ ! And it was fabulous, and for 4200.00 it better be, right? Anyway, I bought these from a freind of mine that swore they were better than a single SVS B4+. Well, I didn't believe it, so I took some measurements with my SPL meter with the B4+ and was very confident the Maestros wouldn't beat it. My B4+ buyer came and bought it, and I went the next day to buy the Maestro twins ! Brought them home, hooked them up, calibrated to the identical level the B4+ was at when I tested it, and I put the Maestros thru the paces. They were +2 - +4 dB. more powerful at every test I had set up. It seemed as tho' they were even louder and harder hitting than that, but that is what the SPL meter measured them at. To my ear and chest they seemed to be about 10 dB. harder hitting, but the numbers don't lie. This may have been because I was using 2 Maestros ( in oak trim 5,000.00) vs. a single B4+ with 2500 watt Crown amp (4500.00 as tested) and room acoustics can also come into play, having a sub on each side of the room, as opposed to just a single location. I would have rated the B4+ a 9 1/2 ALL DAY, before I owned these Maestros. And if the B4+ was a 9 1/2, I would give these twins a solid 11 ALL DAY LONG !!!!!!! For what it's worth, with the Maestros in oak trim, the B4+ still makes them look bad with its' simply beautifull finish. But I'll take the Maestros and their finish over the B4+ any day of the week. Matter of fact, I'm going to be looking into replacing all my other speaks with ACI models very very soon. I'm a basshead for sure, and now my "perfect sub" search has ended !
