Great picture quality and is superior over Sony Wega not to mention cheaper in price.(you pay for the name in Sony)I always liked Toshiba(which i still recommend very highly.Hitachi is right up there also now IMO.T Hitachi is a leader in the industry. Plus they make many parts for other TV manufacturers.(that should be a hint).Check a unit out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed.

The picture clarity and definition are wonderful, not to mention that the unit is 1080 compliant, high definition ready, comes with component inputs,an optical input, and 3 video inputs, as well as an audio output to your amplifier. The unit is feature rich. I compared it to a Sony VEGA (side by side) and the Hitachi was superior. Well assembled unit and costs hundreds less than than equally eqipped Sony''s

Great Picture, in home service warranty

remote sensor went out after 6 months

This is a great TV, for the price it had all the same features as the Sony Wega. The only problem I have had with it is the remote control sensor went out after about 6 months, but with Hitachi's great warranty a tv repair guy came out and fixed it in home no problem. I would recomend this tv to anyone. Lots of inputs including composite.
