Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $349.00 from Crutchfield

Summary:
Another winner. I have a pair of these mated to a pair of bookshelf speakers I'm using for a rear surround, Infinity Crescendo towers up front, and a Polk center channel of equivalent make (I can't remember the Polk model at the moment, but they all have the 6.5 inch drivers and cost me about 250-350 per pair (all were marked off about 35%), and the Infinity towers were $1500 for the pair, they are also exceptional)

My power and processing come from a Denon AVR 3803 which I also reviewed on this site, and it is amazing what it does with these speakers. My 7 channel setup was made complete just yesterday with the arrival of a Velodyne SPL II 12" sub. I own a real theater.

The Denon creates a beautiful soundstage and the Polks made for the perfect speakers to make it happen. I love my system. If you are looking for great sound and soundstage, get these. Here's a big tip: Crutchfield is selling the last of these they have as this line was discontinued. Get them while they last for about 35% off. That's what I did. I bet other merchants are doing the same thing.

Strengths:
It's all good.

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
Some junky old JBL rear channel speakers that aren't worth mentioning.

Review NaN of , from Copperhill, Tn

Price Paid:  $499.00 from Crutchfield

Summary:
Very good surrounds.
The sound coming from these are so real.
The Matrix DVD for instance when one of the charcters took off on a sports motorcycle
I actually looked out, and played the scene again. It was like the motorcycle was going by right up next to my window.
I've heard surrounds but none like these.
The ones I had before can't even come close.

Strengths:
Polk Audio

Weaknesses:
none

Review NaN of , from Phoenix

Price Paid:  $130.00 from CC Accomodations

Summary:
Polk broke the barrier again!
Just when I thought Polk could not get any better, they proved me wrong.
For music these surrounds have great response, good mid-bass and great highs.
For movies these speakers will knock your socks off. The di-pole/bi-pole setting will make it sound like you have 4 rear surrounds not two.
I first listened to them watching Crimson Tide and during the speech, there is lightning and rain in the background. Without even thinking about it, I went outside later and I couldn't figure out why the ground wasn't wet. I've had a 6 channel set up for about 2 years, but nothing touches these rear surrounds.

Strengths:
Look very expensive.
Sounds quality that rivals real life.

Weaknesses:
Can't tell what's really happening around you or what's from the movie.
