Rerasonable depth to the bass but don't go more than halfway with volume setting or it will sound very unnatural. Positioning of speaker might be crucial but I didn't have choice. It sits between front speakers, below the center speaker. Not as crisp or as responsive as I would like, but in came in the Home theatre package, YHT-391, which made it an excellent deal.
