I own two HGS-12s. One is the first version the second is the HGS-11. I have had to have the amp replaced on both - one amp totally died, the other began making popping noises. Both had light use and were never played loud.

Nice subs - but the reliability is horrible, particularly for subs that cost as much as these.

From reading reviews, these problems seem very common with this model. Velodyne should have taken the responsibility to fix these at no (or at least a reduced) cost.

I would be very leary about purchasing any other Velodyne product

Looks good and is "wife friendly"

I can not get rid of the grinding "pop" that comes & goes at times.
Local vendor can't help either.
