Strength:

While the power of 75W could certainly be more, the bass output from the front firing woofer and port is relatively high quality and musical after adjustments. I'm comparing to a $1000+ msrp Infinity 500W sub listening to the sound with and without fronts. Only really high end subs like SVS, my REL, etc sound much better at the same pressure level. I'm using the LFE input right now from a Marantz SR5005 receiver, but speaker level inputs are also available. DOn't expect to bring the walls down but it should be excellent as a 2nd sub in a medium sized room especially to back up a bigger sub. Great bang for your buck. Could pick up one now for almost nothing.

Weakness:

Again, the power could be more, like double or triple. The speaker grille front is not removed easily. Nor is it easy to get at the amplifier. Look could be less early 2000s Sony plastic. Knobs (x-over, vol, and phase switch) are chintzy feeling.

Strength:

quailty musical reproduction. small and light weight. they put out more subbass than you would expect. cheaper than dirt.

Weakness:

At this price, are you kidding?? If you want to make your windows rattle, get another pair!!

I bought these ultra inexpensive little subs for about $75.00 each at BEST BUY. They won,t make your roof collapse with either music or movies however they do add a good amount of punch and low end. Their real strength is sound quality. I listen to jazz, funk, classical, new age. celtic music, and much more and I am very picky when it comes to sound reproduction. I own a high end NAD SILVERLINE ( S100 - S200 - S500!!) sound system with a pair of very highly regarded JBL 4312A proffessional studio monitors. Then I added a pair of SONY SA-WM200 subwoofers. These little subs turned out to be a perfect match for a sound sytem that retailed for app. $7,000.00!!! If you are looking for great sound quality for pennies, look no further!!

Strength:

I was in the market for a small sub (75 to 100 watts) for a small (100 square feet)room. This sub fits the bill nicely without damaging the wallet. I think the sub is good addition to a small DD or DTS sound system. Clean sound, solidly buit and a small footprint.

Weakness:

Not as effective for music. Seems to bottom out occasionally. Still fills out the bottom end though.

Good bass for the buck!

Strength:

as good as the swa20 with a little more power

Weakness:

i dont like the cutoff frquency knob in the back

I already own the sony wma20 subwoofer i wrote a review about that one.this little sub is hooked up with the original one,and the sound is fantastic these two subs combine have done wonders to my system but definitely have been terrible to my neighbors.i live in an apartment and my upstairs tenant is always knocking on the ceiling to make me turn it down.but what happens something keeps falling off the wall upstairs and plus he is annoying that's why i turn it up.
