With a 300W power amp driving a 300mm (12”) down-firing long-throw bass unit, PSW3500 is capable of generating a heftily extended bass image over a very large area - and with level, phase, and frequency fully adjustable via infrared remote control, it’s easy to fine tune to your personal preferences and room acoustics. The components and circuitry in the distinctive elliptical cabinet are all of audiophile standard, and a separate infrared sensor allows the unit to be placed completely out of sight.
Price Paid $700 After trying the psw 2500 and not having much luck I sent it back to Van,s and they gave me a super decent break on the PSW 3500. Just the looks of this is like a really beautiful piece of fine furniture, hiding this would be sacrilege. The sound is as aw-some as the looks, best of both worlds. I have the luxury of a Pioneer Elite 94 TXH Receiver that allows me to set the line level output to every channel. This sub doesn,t have line level inputs but with volume , frequency, and crossover all adjustable this should not present problems for anybody. Most reviews will tell you about the thump and bone crushing abilities of a subwoofer, " which this sub certainly has", but at low volumes this still delivers an ambiance that probably is what heaven may sound like. From low to high every thing holds steady in every frequency range, no noticeable change in characteristics. Simply smooth as glass !!! Everyone in my neighborhood is jealous as hell or maybe a little annoyed as the sound will carry forever. A politician going door to door last October told me he could here it on the north side of my town A MILE AWAY! NO JOKE ! Even at this jet engine level all I can say it was still extremely clean and smooth. Pure art in every aspect ! STRENGHTS : Everyone you can think of WEAKNESSES ; None except splitting the signal in
