Summary:
Piece of junk. I got the sub, hooked up turn it on. Terrible noise coming from the speaker when put out some real bass. I'm not talking about the drums of pop or rock music, but like really low pieces as the beginning temple part of 7th Years in Tibet. It sounded as air coming in and out of somewere. Actually you don't needed to push too much the sub to create this noise. Second thing I have to mention is the fact that the speaker is so low weigth it's impossible to really deliver 175RMS. The customer rep guy was never really able to tell me if they are talking about RMS power, or what power (like Aiwas that say that deliver 1300Watts in a 1 Kilo box...sure..). I have returned the sub the next week. At least the customer rep that handled the return had a good service. Also reading in Axiom newsgroup I was able to read about lots of people complaining about this air noise not only in subs but also in towers, obviously is some problem in the speaker design. If you like to return stuff to the manufacturer, I recommend you this sub.

Strengths:
I was no able to detect none.

Weaknesses:
Hum noise. Air flow noise with deep bass. Too ligth to be a 175Watts sub, at most it may deliver 40Watt according to my estimates. Never really worked as it should.

Summary:
I use the product with a Harman Kardon AVR-120. I originally only had 2 Axiom M22TiSE, but I was shopping in a Dumoulin (Quebec audio store), and I noticed they had Axiom.

Apparently this speaker is being replaced with an updated model, so they were willing to discount the price to $499 Canadian. When they brought it out, it had a $448 price tag on it. I took it!

Setup was a tad confusing as it has many connectors on the back, but apparently you can plug a single RCA cable into ONE of the two ports, but to be on the safe side I purchased a Y splitter.

This sub is VERY musical. With a bit of adjustment I was able to get it integrated into a nice musical 2.1 system. In fact when properly set up you couldn't tell there was a sub at all, other than the extended bass.

It even has an auto shutoff.

I can't give my final firm verdict just yet, (as I've not yet finished configuring it), but it appears to be an excellent value buy (especially at $280 US).

Axiom continues to be my brand of choice.

Strengths:
Very musical. Looks very good. Has dual front firing ports. Also very versatile - you can hook it up to either the subwoofer out, or directly to the speakers. Has 50-120 Hz crossover range. It also has an auto-shutoff, where if it doesn't detect a signal it goes into sleep mode, and thus there is no need to turn it off.

Weaknesses:
Has dual RCA inputs, which confused me at first, since my receiver only has single RCA subwoofer out. The manual is very weak and doesn't explain any of the settings or connectors.

Summary:
I managed to get this great little sub as a scratched demo unit(I fixed the minor scratches). This is a very musical sub which is what I was looking for. I use it 50:50 for Music:HT. For Home theater it is also great but as I mentioned, it may not go as low...say below 25Hz as some other subs (which also cost more). It has great punch and doesn't suffer from muddy/distorted sound like many other subs. The design seems to be quite good with Axiom's "Vortex" porting to reduce chuff which occurs with many other subs. The cool looking shinny aluminum woofer allows very quick and accurate bass response. Even my wife really likes it and now we listen to music much more than we did before. Then there are those rare moments when I'm home alone and can really crank it....wow!

Summary:
I really like this sub. I began with a Klipsch KSW-10, but found that floor-firing didn't exactly meet my needs (just sounded muddy to me - maybe I was just doing something wrong). I looked at the Axiom because it was marked down $200 and was very impressed with the way the ports made the hair on my legs dance from 4 feet away.

I bought it to complement my existing system which is comprised of:

YAMAHA RX-V596
Front: Klipsch KG4's
Rears: PSB Century 3's (not the best, but great for fill)
Centre: Klipsch CS.1

Despite its 10" size, it's recommended for medium to large rooms and it has no problem filling my living room with enough lows to rumble my wall prints. It's really pissed my neighbor off on more than one occasion - I'll try to control myself more in the future, I promise.

If you can get this thing for a good price, it's definitely worth a look. It retailed here in Ottawa for $650, so it was a bargain at $450. I'd prefer Velodyne, but that stuff just cost too much for what my budget allowed at the time.

For a little sub, this thing rocks. You surely won't be disappointed.
