Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $195.00 from sapasales@aol.com on

Summary:
Great sounding speakers and made for extreme outdoor use. Visit Disneyland and watch them being hosed down to clean! Handle up to 12 gauge wire. Better sound than the overpriced BOSE. Visit EBAY and look for them ~$200. You will not be disappointed.

Strengths:
Great sound and easy to install with bracket provided. Made for extreme outdoor use. Shop for great price.

Weaknesses:
none

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $170.00 from ebay

Summary:
I have been reading about these spekaers for over a year now and finally got a pair of these black OS-10's on ebay a few days ago. Today I installed them over my back deck. They sound absolutely awesome- even better than some of my in-wall speakers I bought from MTX and Polk. They are very well designed and easy to mount. I had to go on top of a very tall ladder to get these to where I had pre-wired. The bracket design allows for simple installation which I appreciate. These sound so good that we made a bonfire in the back yard tonight and chilled to Pat Metheny and Diet Pepsi. Paradise.

Strengths:
Very strong lows- the internal crossover does a great job of that. Full range- not tinny or cheap sounding.

Weaknesses:
none that I can find

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
