Strength:

Weather proof bookshelf style outdoor speakers. These are made so we'll that you can completely submerge them in fresh or salt water for hours (not intended to be played while submerged) without a worry in the world. Shake off any excess water and fire them up. What you'll hear is that full rich east coast sound that made Boston Acoustics, Advent, Allison Acoustics, Acoustic Research, Cambridge Audio, KLH, Kloss, etc. so popular. Product highlights: tweeter -1" Kortec® woofer - 5-1/4" copolymer cone, butyl rubber surround frequency response - 70-20,000 Hz (±3dB) sensitivity - 89 dB Power Range - 125 watts binding posts - 5-way Hardware - rust- and weather-proof rust-proof aluminum speaker grilles and mounting brackets Dimensions - 8-5/16"W x 11-5/16"H x 7-1/8"D warranty - 5 years Woofers: Each Voyager Pro speaker uses a 5-1/4" copolymer woofer with a butyl rubber surround. Tweeters: Each speaker has Boston's patented 1" Kortec soft dome tweeter. Kortec is a silky fabric saturated on the underside with a proprietary stiffening agent. Because the inside surface of the dome is ultra stiff, the tweeter tracks the signal with ease and produces an excellent transient attack. Simultaneously, the soft, self-dampening top layer eliminates unwanted resonance. So the sound is smooth and articulate. The Voyager Pro features an innovative tweeter wave guide to optimize efficiency and provide wide, even coverage of the outdoor listening area. Mounting Brackets: In addition to being made of corrosion-resistant powder coated aluminum, the included mounting brackets offer enormous placement flexibility. They allow you to rotate the speakers almost 90° each direction after they've been mounted, letting you direct the sound to different areas as needed. If the speakers are mounted vertically, the brackets allow them to swivel side to side. If the speakers are mounted horizontally, the brackets allow them to swivel up and down. The speakers' shape makes corner placement easy. 5-Way Binding Posts: The gold-plated 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire up to 12 gauge, pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, or dual banana plugs. Location: Matching the all weather design, the Voyager series is specially voiced for open-air environments like the patio, deck, or any other open setting.

Weakness:

The only thing that I thought was a kinda dig was that they didn't sound very good inside. Let me explain, after purchasing my first pair I wanted to hear what they sounded like so I hooked them up in the living room to my Marantz NR1607 at 50 Wpc. In simple two way stereo. I don't quite understand why or what was missing but it just didn't sound right. Then I installed them in the back yard on either side of the BBQ and they sounded stellar.
