Bottom Line: I currently use a pair as my theater rear surrounds to great effect and am very happy with their overall sound capabilities. The lower frequencies are astounding given their rather small size. Highs are fine, though not aimable as the newer model surrounds are now. As with all in-walls (actually in-ceiling, in this case) this speaker hides away from view so the wife factor is a big plus. But it is the sound that is the most important and these Polks have both an abundant ability to deliver as well as quality sound to boast.
Surround music (multi-channel) is wonderful through these as well as theater. They rival most monitors that I auditiioned without the table space and cable in view / underfoot problem that would be encountered with a freestanding speaker style.
Sadly, this in-wall speaker is no longer available as I would love to add a second pair for the new 7.1 processors coming out.
