Bottom Line:
This is the perfect small room system for those individuals that are looking for a speaker system that adds that rare combination of good sound and above average build quality. The birch veneer and dark cherry stain are fantastic. Comparable to a set of Boston Acoustic bookshelf monitors retailing at $1000 a pair. These speakers are a little on the bright side so you have to beware that they are not paired with similarly bright receiver. I have only had them for a short time and am noticing that they are mellowing somewhat as they are broken in. The company recommends about 100 hours before they are ready for serious listening. I paired this theater with a Denon 2105 which has a more balanced sound than Sony ES series digital receivers or the Pioneer Elite. These speakers would not sound pleasant to me with either of those. Personal preference reigns...the Sony is brash and thin and the Pioneer pushed the sound forward too much. I can understand purchasing speakers that have not been listened to but I decided that the money back guarantee was sufficient to take a small chance. Those of us with similarly small theater budgets take note. I got the receiver and the 5.1 for 1094 delivered. Solidly packed and within the time frame promised. No fly by night here. Beware of places that offer good prices and then charge you tax (even if you're out of state) and outrageous shipping. The package I got was in 3 boxes and a total weight of 235 pounds...total shipping was 94 bucks. Plan on spending another two or three of hundred on wire, connectors and stands...you can wall mount these but I would be hesitant to mar that flawless furniture grade surface.

Rocket ELT or Swan 2.1 for HT?

I've pretty much narrowed it down to these to sets of speakers for a HT setup. Will be powering them with the Yamaha 5760. I've read several reviews of the Rocket ELT system but haven't found anything for the Swan's in reference to their soundstage for HT. So, has anybody compared the two, or hav ... Read More »

Rocket 150's, ELT's, or Axiom m2i/M22ti for stereo use?

Hello all, I have been posting on both av123.com and axiomaudio.com for the last few days in order to find out what to buy. Giving my girlfriend a low-powered Onkyo slimline receiver (TX-L5) and sub (Velodyne CT-100) to replace her Bose Lifestyle system. I'm intrigued by the Rockets, their fi ... Read More »
