Bose Acoustimass 15 Series II Home Theater Speaker Systems

3.24/5 (21 Reviews) MSRP : $950.00

Product Description

Bose had a hit on its hands when it released theAcoustimass-5 to stereo listeners. The Bose Acoustimass-15 transforms the AM-5's dual-cube design from two-channel stereo to five-channel surround sound. Each cube contains a tiny driver that turns on a hinge, allowing you to tailor the proportions of direct and reflected sound to your acoustic setting and listening tastes.Since the satellite speakers are rather small, Bose also gives you a large subwoofer module to beef up the bass, and says it can go pretty much anywhere in the room. Unlike the subwoofer in the less costly AM-10 system, the AM-15's sub is active, meaning self-powered. That in turn makes this system more directly comparable to other sat-and-sub systems on the market, which typically include powered subs. It also makes possible the integrated signal processing that keeps bass at realistic levels whether the overall volume goes up or down.

After reading reviews on different sites for good and bad comments are and try to heard actual sound of Bose Acousticmass 15 series iii supported with Onkyo TX-NR727 at the bose authorized dealer shop, Wow! Sound amazing….. I bought right away the two units Onkyo TX-NR727 185w/channel + Bose Acousticmass 15 series iii that match with quality sound….I am not a Bose fanatic nor audiophile expert but I love it the way it is, boomy Bass and the Creepy sound coming from different small speaker arrays a clear vocal sound with THX for movie, for the first time I did not appreciate the sound but after a long time of tune up or adjustment finally I found the right tunes to blow you away…..

Well I purchased the acoustimass 15 series 2 because my buddy owns tha same speakers and its a decent speaker system. He bought it because he loves his bass. Well first time I heard it I was very impressed by tha bass and by tha highs. I'm sure with a system like that there's always gonna be lacking somewhere in this case tha mid. I suggested him to purchase some secondarys(floor or bookshelfs) to pick up tha slack. Him being stubborn he didn't take that path. Well anyways I ended up pairing up tha bose with a pair of cerwin Vega xls 6 bookshelfs. So I hooked them all to my pioneer vsx 1022 reciecer and now it sounds suberb. Very happy.

I bought the BOSE AM 10 ser V 2 years ago. I matched it with a cheappy YAMAHA RX v365. The first few months of the set up, i really don't appreciate the sounds its very dull, i tried all the basic set up i can, manual set up on the AVR, subwofer orientations but no joy. BUT NOW, I realized that if you have patience in discovering the system and set up, YOU may get the BEST SOUND you ever wanted from BOSE, no matter what a cheap AVR you giong to match it. To the BOSE HATER i would suggest that dont judge the book by its cover, Try to expand your knowledge of it.
