I originally purchased these speakers because of their size, and I've had experience with AR's before (early 90's). They reproduced a big sound, despite their small size. However, on listening to some of my old school music, I discovered that a lot of mids were missing, particularly the horn sections. On closer review, it appeared as if all of the mids were missing. I am now replacing that system with all JBL components, full size I might add. I just have to hear everything. The bass/ sub is boomy, but is limited on some bass, (dropping I mean), and over exaggerates others at time. Strengths:
Compact size, space it gives back to a room. If you like boom and highs, go for it. The price, well, you pay for what you get! Weaknesses:
The mids are pretty much non-existant, inclusive of background vocals, horns, and precusion. Similar Products Used:
