All speakers are a subjective matter of taste but this one really stands out, i can´t find anything in the 6500€ price range that can compete with this, it has all you can ask of a a speaker and the bass is just awesome, nothing can match the dual 25cm drivers. If you can pick one used you won´t regret it and it will last you a lifetime. Some of the best speakers i have owned. They can play really good with low or loud volumes.

Tannoy DC10t is a realy high end loudspeaker to a moderate price ($5000). Tannoy have improved the Dual Concentric principle with an improved definition regarding the concentric tweeter so you don't need to use the optional super-tweeter designed for the traditional Tannoy Prestige series. This tweeter have a frequency-response up to 35KHz. The resolution is as good as an electrostatic speakers in treble area. Supplied with an added 10inch woofer from 200Hz and down to 30Hz gives a full bodied bass response. The bass is quick and well articulated and is one of the best I ever have heard. The mid tones is open and transparent and give the right feeling of body in the lower mid tones or mid-bass. The sound is big but not too big. The proportions seems very right and the balanced compared to the real life music feels right.
Tonnoy speakers have always been well known for the best coherence thanks to the "old" Dual Concentric principles. You will recognize this feature regarding the new DC10t at once you listen to it. My opinion is that this speaker is worth each penny you pay for it. It's one of the best speakers I have heard and I have compared it to much more expensive speakers as SF Amati, B&W 802 and 801.
The design, paint and finish are also in a very high class. It's not very difficult to place them in a normal room. You don't need to use as very big amplifier (92db), but they sound still better with high-end amps and the best sources.
