Strength:

balanced, honest tone, especially on acoustic music

Weakness:

sometimes sound a little "muddy" at higher levels

I have owned these for 4 years, and am very pleased with them for the price. They are not rock and roll speakers; very good for jazz and especially vocal jazz, as well as acoustic guitar. The bass is surprising for the size, though certainly not gut-wrenching. My main complaint with them is that with the two-way design, the two drivers seem to be "disconnected"- I can hear the two pieces seeming to function separately. Perhaps this is a problem with two-way speakers in general, but the presentation is just not as seamless as I would expect. This is especially pronounced on classical music with a wide frequency range.

My other gear:
Musical Fidelity A1 integrated amp
Naim speaker cables
Marantz CD63 cd player
Soundstream DAC1
Silver Sonic interconnects
