Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Audiophile Component

Summary:
I bought the units back in 2001 at 50% off the listed price. From the first time I heard them perform, clarity was obvious. Its a studio monitor that you will love to have in your home.

Strengths:
Its a good all around performer.

Weaknesses:
none

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
For some while I have been looking for a set of studio monitors that could also be used at home. Having listened to many monitors, I bought the Spirit Absolute 2. At first they sounded terrible because the cones were quite stiff. But now after several months of use, depth and imaging are superb, and bass response is amazing. Being an efficient speaker (90 db., 1 watt 8 ohms) they are an easy load for my Musical Fidelity A2 amplifier, but love playing at very loud volumes with a large amp. Frequency response is quoted as 45 - 20K +2 -3db, or 35 - 23K, -10db. Features include a cast frame, edge wound, aerogel woofer; Bass reflex; bi-wireable gold terminals, magnetic shielding, bass reflex. For $400.00 they are truely the professional class leader and far out perform many more expensive speakers from companies like Rogers and Ruark.
For your $400.00 you do not get grills or expensive wood finishes, just excellent engineering and unquestionable sound quality. Amazing value

Buy with confidence, but give them time to run in!!!

Summary:
I bought this pair of Nearfield monitor speakers for monitoring my DJ mixes, and I must say that they do their work very good indeed... For their low price you get alot of sound.. 100W at 8 ohm continuous Power! Also the Bass response is very clear and they are strong, rugged & heavy (8kg a piece) build! Nice One for its price!!!

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
