Bottom Line: I bought these while stationed in Germany in 1991. They have delivered beautiful soundstaging and wonderful tonality for 13 years. First for music but more recently in my dedicated home theater. These are perfect for someone with a larger room or where 3D sound is a must. Their size and deep base response work very well for home theater. Although I have moved 6 or more times since I bought them and have had the chance to sell them many times I have kept them, dispite their size, purely for their tremendous 3D sound. I have bi-amped these with 2 Adcom 555II amps for a total of 400 watts per chanel. They are rated up to 1000 watts. Magnificent speakers.

Bottom Line: I have owned these speakers since 1985. These are the best speakers I have ever listened to in the last 18 years bar none. I will not ever part with them. Sound stage is awesome bass 18hz, mids crystal clear, highs perfect. If your are fortunate enough to find a pair don't hesitate; they are worth twice the money.

Bottom Line: after a 6 month search, i found a pair of POLK AUDIO 1.2 SRS SDA (not 1.2 TL).
i am floored with the smooth frequency response, fine detail and huge soundstage.
my system consists of; NAD S 100 preamp, NAD S 200 power amp, NAD S 500 cd player (siverline=top of the line) and a pair of INFINITY HPS 1000 subwoofers (1000 watts each). this is a true high end audio & home theater set up at a bagain price. i paid less than $ 6000 for everything!! EBAY.COM and AUDIOGON.COM are the places to shop!
if you are lucky enough to find a pair of these great speakers, (1.2 or 1.2TL), jump on it because these are hard to find!!

Bottom Line: Dreamed of owning a pair of these for a ever when they were first advertised and after owning them never been disappointed. Paired them up with a Luxman MO5 Preamp and 2 Luxman MO5 Amps monoed per side. What words can I use to describe them they are musically impressive as they look more like an entertainmant center than a speaker closest to sound suround as you will get with 2 speakers. When paired up with a good recording you hear base behind you and sounds that seem 8' of to the side of the speaker. You have to own them to know them period.

Bottom Line: I purchased a pair of the Polk SDA SRS speakers back in 1995, about a week after they were on the cover of Stereo Review magazine. I was the second person in the state of Arizona to buy a pair! I purchased them new from Hi-Fi Sales in Mesa, Arizona. They are the greatest speakers I have ever heard. The imaging could not be more lifelike. Simply stunning. I drive them with a pair of vintage Yamaha M-80's, bi-amping them. I don't care how much you spend - you will not find a system that delivers a more accurate reproduction of musical instruments - sounding the way they would live! I still own this equipment, and due to working out of town so much, I can estimate that all of it only has about 5 years worth of use. It literally sounds as good as it did new.
