Strength:

I have been a Polk speaker fan for 30 years. I owned a pair of the SDA-SRS series in the 90's. Those are massive speakers and that was their downfall. They sounded amazing , but who wants to 6' coffins in the room? Fast forward to the Polk RTi-A9s. They are stunning. The cabinets are bone solid. I build things for a living and these are just wow! I paired them with a Sony STR-DA5800ES 9.2 channel 4k receiver and they sound as impressive as they look. I loved them so much, I bought a 3rd one for the center, I took the feet off and mounted it under my 120" screen in my home theater. I use a JBL 12" 400watt subwoofer and whether I'm listening to music or watching movies, sound reproduction is huge and clean. You would be hard pressed to find a better value as these are going now for around $400 each.

Weakness:

Strengths - Build quality, sound quality, beauty Weaknesses - They are large and almost overpowering in smaller rooms, make sure you have the space for them.

These speakers are very good. They do need power. The size of your room has alot to do with speaker selection.have mine running in a med. sized room with an onkyo tx rz10 reciever but not with direct mode this a mistake many people make. Almost all speakers sound better when you can adjust the bass and treble to suit your ear trust me. the only time to use direct mode is ear blasting levels.

Out of the box sounding better than my decade old Eosone RSF-600's. I am in the breakin stage of the RTiA9 and not being that nice to them. They are being powered by my Cambridge Audio 840aV2 with 200 into 4Ohms. Transport is a NAD C-543. Cambridge Interconects, MIT Terminator 4 speaker wires. Cambridge M1 remote.
This is only about 12 hours on the RTiA9's and I am very impressed with them. With the deal that Polk has going right now. Price was 1799pr, down to 1499pr, 30 day in home. they pay all shipping. For 250 down, five more payments they are mine.
I have listened and owned many systems, now my sons are into it. For the money, hard to find a better speaker in the price range. If there is please let me know
As I get closer to the I am satisfied break-in of the RTiA9 I will repost.

Strength:

Strong hard hitting bass that reached down to the 28-30Hz range very nicely and mids and highs that blended together perfectly. The new curved and six layer laminate enclosure has made a big improvement over the Rti 12 model speaker, and they are absolutely gorgeous looking,BIG WIFE APROVAL FACTOR!

Weakness:

Not one I can think of!

These are the best speakers I have owned they have strong tight lows and the midrange is so perfectly matched to the tweeter.I bought these to replace the Polk Rti 12s that I owned.Polk has definitely made a big improvement over the Rti 12s by redesigning the speaker cabinets Im not sure if they changed the cross overs in any way but the change to the cabinets sure has improved the sound in the lows and mids.I was going to replace my Yamaha RX-V2700 AVR but the Rti A9s are easier to drive and sound so much better that I have no reason too now.

Customer Service

Have not needed to,the speakers arrived on a pallet with out any damage!
