Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $100.00 from costco

Summary:
my parents bought these four or five years ago with a pretty pricy yamaha reciever for a sorround sound system that we used for quite awhile. when we got a new tv, none of us felt like setting it up, so it all sat in the room useless for a few months until i decided to take it into my room because i had a P-O-S $50 stereo before. ive had these speakers for about 7 or 8 months in my room, and i would like to buy myself some more expensive ones. i am a sixteen year old boy, ergo i like to blast my music until the windows rattle. the sound is great with them, but the midrange doesnt seem to do a damn thing. plus, when i get it up to where i like it, after about 5 minutes smoke starts to come out of them, sooo we turn them off. it hasnt seemed to damage the sound quality, which, i might add, has never, ever distorted no matter how loud i get them. i would recommend them to anyone not planning to try to rattle windows, but if you like to blast your music, these speakers are not for you.

Strengths:
great sound, great bass

Weaknesses:
no sound from mid range, and they start pouring smoke when they get too loud.

Similar Products Used:
the only similar products ive used are that P-O-S stereo, and my friends dad's thousand dollar speakers, so there is really no comparison between the three.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $115.00 from Competitionsound.com

Summary:
What caught my attention when I first looked at these speakers was the price. I don''t have much money, so I am trying to biuld a pretty good home theater for the lowest price possile. These speakers seemed to be exactly what I was looking for because I needed two main speakers. I decided to go with towers because I purchased a 12" JBL subwoofer. I figured that the subwoofer would provide most of the bass, so if the relatively small 6.5 inch woofers on these speakers weren''t that great, I always have my sub. The bass on the speakers turned out to be great though. i was very impressed. The highs were also great. I was confused because the mid size speaker never made any noise on either of the speakers, but they still sounded great, so I never did anything about it. I would definetaly reccommend these speakers ot anybody because they have the sound quality of many expensive speakers in the same area.

Strengths:
Great sound quality (high and loq freq''s) Very cheap price Look great cosmetically.

Weaknesses:
Mid range speaker puts out no noise That''s about it.....

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer bookshelf speakers, JVC 8010VBK reciever, JBL 250w, 12" powered sub.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Costco

Summary:
Stumbled on these at Costco when picking up a DVD player. My old speakers were shot, so for $100 for the pair I took a chance. I hooked 'em up to my new JVC RX-6500VBK and Pioneer DV-C503. They sound much better than I thought they would. The bass response is better than I thought it would be, but still lacking. For my piddly system in a small room, they sound great. The Shrek DVD sounds great on them, as do my CDs. For the money, I think they'd be hard to beat.

Strengths:
Inexpensive, good sound.

Weaknesses:
Weak bass response.

Similar Products Used:
None worth noting.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
