Love the Pinnacles. Made in USA! I gave a pair of 400's to a buddy opening a restaurant. Still kicking daily for a few years now even with foam surrounds and a tough environment. Have the 550's and sold the 650's. I almost couldn't release them when it came time to let them go. I think they used peerless or vifa tweeters with a nice coated bextrene woofer with a rubber surround that will not rot providing 20-40 years of service compared to 10-15 on early Paradigm Titans. They used nice gold terminals on the 650's and positioned properly will put out great bass, handle plenty of power and sound almost as good as the Celestions I have here that are far more expensive. Kudos Pinnacle. I will probably regret getting rid of the 650's as they get down below 50hz and in a smaller room don't even really require a sub which is hard to believe for a 6.5 inch woofer. I won't hesitate to pick up another pair if I find some at a later date.

Strength:

Beautiful!!! Small size, removable grills.

Weakness:

Extension, a bit chirpy.

This review is for the Pinnacle AC-3000 bookshelf speakers--which weren't listed for review.

Absolutely gourgous pair of very small bookshelf speakers w/ 3.5-4" woofer, and a soft dome tweeter. Very appealing and sound very good. They are easily comparable to the Micro's Paradigm puts out--would be a nice surround speakers. I tried using them on the front channel and the lack of bass extension is noticable even when paired with a quality sub (not surprising).

Very decent pair and recommended at the right price. Certainly better than the mass market competition (JBL, Pioneer, KLH, Polk, etc...)

I got a great deal on them, but if you paid the $200-300 retail price I think would be overpaying.
