I am the original owner of these fine British speakers as well as Pageant II ad MS10.Just love that British sound but find B and W to be far too bright for me.I will admit to the negative reviewer that these speakers are very receiver fussy just like my Klipsch Heresey IIs.I am using a vintage Onkyo stereo receiver 110 real watts per channel ,and this makes the bass driver come alive. Not window cracking but pleasant.Easy to find used for 100 plus dollars and IMHO well worth it.Hearing is fine.

I bought these speakers back in the early 1990s as they were all my student budget could afford. I was chuffed with them back in the day, I drove them with an even older Sansui amp. Nowadays my tastes are a little more refined and after pulling them down from the loft for my son, realised that perhaps they weren't that great after all! He's been using them with a new Cambrige Audio amp, and even after some months to warm them up the speakers sound weak in the mids and sloppy in the lows. The tweeter still sounds good though!

It's probably a case of speaker aging and my tastes changing to be honest, however, these days I'm unfortunately significantly underwhelmed by the pair...
