DESCRIPTION

Smaller only in physical stature, the Resolution 2 delivers the same high intensity experience as the Resolution 1. The tweeter is identical to that used in the Resolution 1, while the Resolution 2 employs a single custom-designed 6.5-inch (18cm) midrange drive unit. The tweeter is positioned above the woofer but below the midrange drive unit in order to optimize high-frequency dispersion characteristics and minimize diffraction effects. The two woofers are custom-designed 8-inch (22cm) versions of the ones employed in the Resolution 1.

Strength:

Easy to drive. Brings out the strengths in even poorly recorded CDs. Classy looks, great build quality.

Weakness:

Apparently need space to perform optimally due to rear porting - not something i've noticed though.

Fantastically easy to drive, beautifully controlled, very detailed. Everything you'd expect from Krell. Pretty undemanding with regards placement too. Have that wonderful ability to "disappear", and let the music do the talking. Classy styling and undoubted build quality also.

Similar Products Used:

B&W Nautilus 802 - Krells leave these for dead, with the amplification i use. Treble is FAR more believable.
