Strength:

These are very clear speakers, the highs sound awesome. Excellent for home theater and classical music.

Weakness:

Max rating of 80 watts is limiting and the freq. responce starts at 200hz, so there is no bad.

Great little speaker for home theater surrounds. These things are very clear. As for using them to jam to music, there is no mid range sounds, recommend a subwoofer with these. There are quite compact and i will say they beat out bose cubes in my opinion. Easy wall mounts, you can stick these things anywhere.

I'm a college student on a budget and was looking for something with some quality sound to fill my dorm room (16x12ft). I was worried that these would not put out enough sound to be primary speakers. I was wrong. These speakers are wonderful paired with the Infinity BU-80. I do think that the low frequency cut off is a little high, but with some sub tweaking you can get very good sound. I would not suggest these as primary speakers for someone with a large space to fill, however for my dorm room they put out plenty of sound. I bid them for about $39 each. For $39 each they are the most well constructed speakers I've seen. I'm very happy with them.

Strength:

Excellent rear speakers, great front channel speakers, very solid sound for the value, size, mounting brackets

Weakness:

Center speaker just a little weak when it comes to dialogue (At least on my setup), have to have a subwoofer!

I was looking for a solid set of home theater speakers and I had no desire to piece together the components myself. I went to Circuit City where I bought my Onkyo receiver Dolby Digital receiver (open box = Incredible deal). I immediately looked at the Bose systems, but fortunately for my wallet I came across these beauties. The guy helping me hadn't fully tested them, so we fired up a DVD and I was very impressed by the quality of the speakers. And that was on a Sony receiver. Once I hooked them up to my Onkyo the sound quality seemed to double. I ran back that day and picked up an open box JBL 10" powered subwoofer and my system was complete. These speakers even outplayed other more expensive ones that my buddy spent an arm and a leg on for his home theater setup. My only issue is with the center channel speaker. The dialogue when playing a DVD in 5.1 seemed a little weak. The sound from the fronts would over power any dialogue going on at the same time. Thinking about upgrading to a bigger center (Infinti has a nice one). This may just be on my system though. Still this is absolutely the best out of the box home theater speaker set you can pick up for the price. Don't forget that subwoofer though.

Strength:

Great sound for the price. Much better than the BOSE which have no midrange - fuller sound.

Weakness:

MUST have a subwoofer!!!

I bought these at CC where I was looking at the BOSE systems. People had told me the BOSE had good highs and thats all. I asked to hear fuller sounding systems in small packages (my wife hates speakers in the living room). These were almost as good as the Yamahas. Way cheaper!

These guys are really well constructed, look great and to my ear sound really good. I have not seen any 5 speaker package that even comes close to what these speakers offer at anywhere near the price I paid ($160). I dont think I could be more happy with these speakers.

I dont think these speakers would work very well to fill a large area though. And they are certainly not for audiophiles.

Got 4 of these speakers, two for the front and 2 for the rear. Low end cut-off frequency is a little high, but they sound great coupled with the right subwoofer. Perfect if floor space is a concern.

I have had these for about 2 years, coupled with an Infinity BU2 sub - what a great sound from little speakers. I just upgraded the center to an Infinity Delta Center as the minuette center was weaker than I liked, but these speakers are clean and work really well for their price and size.

Strength:

Extremely detailed and clear sounding, nice looking little speakers.

Weakness:

None

There aren't many words necessary to describe these speakers. If you're looking for nice looking little speakers to fit into your room to fill it with the best sound as possible in the concerning proportions, get the Minuettes. They sound far more better than the Boses, costing a fraction of the money. And if you combine it with a good, musicle sounding amplifier, like a Harman Kardon, they're just the best small speakers you can get for your money. Buy them!
