Strength:

Absolutely unmatched treble. Spectacular speed and dynamics without harshness. Fast non boomy bass.Transparent. Realistic timbre.

Weakness:

Fearfully expensive but better than many even more expensive ones

The striking thing about these speakers is the transparency with speed and dynamics. In the treble the (apparently very simple) Goldmund was much better than any others. It was at least as good as the others elsewhere also. The Wamm went louder but is huge and inferior in all othe respects.

Strength:

High Frequency's are as crisp as can be
Low's are extremely tight

Weakness:

Midrange is lacking, although it is a two-way speaker

These speaker's have got some awesome sound for their price..considering i spent 500 canadian on them (about 360 us or so). Value wise you couldn't get much better. I think MSRP is around 600US, and even at this price it's a great value.

If you're looking for for something to listen to in a stereo mode, paradigm's will do the job, but some can probably do it better. Don't get me wrong, they do have awesome sound, but the midrange sounds nicer in the Klipsch reference. The Monitor 7's do have much better bass response though.

When it comes to surround sound, you aren't getting any better then 7's in the same price range. Your center channel speaker makes up for the lacking midrange (men's voices mostly). The bass is so tight and accurate, you honestly don't need a sub at all, but of corse we will all get one anyways. I just watched MI-2 and listened on my monitor's (didn't have a sub on) and it was amazing, the sound effects blew me away.

Value get's 5 star's hands down, but i wish i could give overall rating 4.5. They are awesome for 5.1 sound, but i'd like to see paradigm increase the midrange so that they can also be ubeatable for stereo sound
