from Friend's house Summary: I recently visited my friend's house and noticed his new pair of Dogg Digital loudspeakers. Apparently, he bought them at Cosco for 50% off. From far away, they seemed like really expensive speakers. I looked in the back of the speakers and noticed gold plated bi-wire connectors.
I've never heard of the name before, so I asked my friend to play a few tracks. The first thing I noticed was the terrible treble. It sounded absolutely horrible. It's true that these speakers could handle a lot of power. However, when you magnify crap, you only get more crap.
At first, I thought it was the CD, so I changed CD's. This new track had more bass. The bass out of these speakers were better than the treble, but it was still far worst than those cheap car stereos you hear in the street.
The conclusion was that my friend got totally ripped off. I went online and did a search. After I read a few of these reviews, I just had to write another to warn others not to waste their money on this. You would be better off if you spent your money on mass-market low end equipment. They would actually sound a lot better than these speakers. Strengths: Looks high-end/expensive from far away. Weaknesses: Sound, build quality, price. Similar Products Used: I've never heard anything this bad before. But just for reference, below is my system:
- B&W 703
- Custom built transport.
- Theta Gen VIII
- Bryston 7B-SST
- MIT Magnum M1
