Review 1 of 2

Summary:
Have had these speakers now for 9 years and am still exceedingly pleased with them. The dynamics and bass from this small a speaker is the best I have heard. The overall frequency response and musicality is also superb. With the Audio Research tube amp and preamp, they make every recording sound better than other systems in my home or that I have heard.

And, of course, in appearance they are without equal.

Strengths:
Superb imaging and dynamics, remarkable bass for the size, very musically involving.

Weaknesses:
Sounds much better with tube electonics, truly a magical mix compared to good solid state.

Similar Products Used:
Acoustic Energy AE1 and AE2, Rogers LS3/5A, JR1s,

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
