Summary:
After researching subwoofers both in stereo stores and on the web, I decided on a Cerwin Vega subwoofer for my surround sound system. I initially concidered the Cerwin Vega LW-12, but finally decided on the LW-10 being somewhat concerned that it might not be large enough to handle the base requirements that I desired. Well, I can't imagine what the LW-12 would have been like, because the LW-10 shakes the room. I just finished watching Jurassic Park III, and loved the great shaking base. Base sounds great, very clean, very loud. I keep the volume level at about 50% and it's easily enough.

Strengths:
Great sound. No hiss, no rattling of cabinet. Just great sounding base. Price was also great for the quality of sub that I got.

Heavy cabined ( around 50 lbs )

Great guarantee

Weaknesses:
My receiver has a single subwoofer RCA jack, but the LW-10 requires two RCA inputs. I needed to get an adapter.

I notice the LW-15 has a single RCA input
