Price Paid:  $1500.00 from Audiogon sale

Summary:
I purchased these speakers a few months ago used from an Audiogon member for a great price. I had never heard them before but had been wanting to upgrade my system one component at a time and decided that this was as good a place as any to start. A friend of mine and I jumped into his van and we took a little evening drive down to Seguine (TX) to pick these up. The speakers are huge (over 5&1/2' tall and about 130 lbs each). They barely fit into the van. The next morning we opened the boxes and to say the speakers are beautiful is an understatement. Let's just say the W.A.F. was pegged to high - she has all her girlfriends come over to look at them. Once I hooked them up the sound was just fantastic - all that I had hoped for and more. They are strong across the board, wonderful silky midrange with great definition, great highs and with 2 big bass drivers, they are not short on the low end either. The last set of speakers I owned had a pinpoint sweet spot. Move up or laterally and you could immediately hear the sound stage fall apart. With the Grand Blues they sound great no matter where I am. I was not expecting this but it is a very welcome unexpected benefit. Now of course, the new speakers are triggering an major overhaul of my components so that I can catch up to and maximize the potential that my new speakers have in spades. I love this hobby!

Strengths:
Balanced across the mids, highs and lows. Great definition and tonality. High Wife Acceptance factor

Weaknesses:
Heavy to move around; otherwise I am very satisfied with them

Similar Products Used:
Many - I have heard many speakers in the Houston Audio society as well as in the Bottlehead group.

Sanders Sound 10b Speaker Review

No, you can’t always get what you want. The number of loudspeakers surpassing the cost of a decent family sedan is staggering. Then there are speakers that cost as much as a house.
