Strength:

Excellent sound overall, matches well with most electronics and other JBL speakers, sound exactly matches other Northridge series speakers, JBL reliability, 5 year warranty.

Weakness:

A bit big.

This speaker is amazing. You know when you go to the movies and it sounds like you are really there? Well my old Radioshack center channel didn;t do that. I just thought that home cinemas dont get as good as theaters. I was wrong. This speaker makes it sound like you are at the movies. This center is paired with 2 N26II's in the front and in a few weeks I am getting N24II's for the rear and a 150 10" sub from JBL also. But it just sounds so full and rich and you can hear every detail. No distortion either. I tried hooking this up to a front channel with 1 N26 and it sounded as though they were the SAME EXACT speaker. It matches the sound so well. Its a little big but hey I was a tiny center before this and I guess the others are just as big. But it does not lack bass, and anyway even if it did, centers aren't supposed to be bassy. That's the subs job but don't worry, it has great bass. It sounds excellent on movies and it brings the richness out in music. It seems just as solidly made as all other JBl's and I always trust them, because they provide you with a 5 year warranty on their products. I would reccommend to anyone who likes rich sound out of their TV or music/movies. Even if you don't have all other JBL's, you'll still be impressed.

Strength:

accurate; looks good; cheap; blends very well with the other northbridge series speakers

Weakness:

none yet

I bought the n-center2 to compliment my n24 speakers in the front. I will say this I have been very pleased. It does sound great for movies, although certain older dd soundtracks have a slight distortion in the center channel. I don't believe it's the speaker because newer soundtracks and all dts material sound great. I live in an apartment so I don't get to turn it up past 17 on my sony receiver but it has no problem giving me that dialog and sound effects that i crave for movies. I only use it for music when i'm playing dvd audio, and let me tell you it sounds even better than the movies. I've had no video shielding problems whatsoever ( it sits right on top of my tv). Lacks a real low end bump on it's own but with 5 speakers I get all the bass my neighbors can handle.
