Cambridge Soundworks Center Channel II Speaker Center Channels

Cambridge Soundworks Center Channel II Speaker Center Channels

DESCRIPTION

The Center Channel II is a low profile, two-way acoustic suspension speaker tonally similar to the satellites used in the Ensemble and Ensemble II systems. In fact, it uses two-long throw 3 1/2"" mid-bass drivers and a tweeter identical to those used in an Ensemble or Ensemble II satellite. It has wide dispersion, smooth tonal balance and good power handling and its compact size and shielding makes it easy to place it on top of or below a TV.

Strength:

Relatively low cost, compliments timbre of other CSW center/surround speakers in similar size/price range.

Weakness:

A little small, middle of the road sensitivity (88db)

The Center Channel II sounds great paired up with my CSW satellite/sub configuration. Seems to drop some response in the 1000-1500 hz range, which seems to take off the harsh edge I experienced when using the center/surround III as my center channel. As with other CSW products, great bang for the buck. I am very satisfied.
