from http://myworld.ebay. Summary: Roy Cizek was blind. Like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and many others great artists. He dedicated his life to build great value loudspeakers for audiophiles and High End systems. His Company, CIZEK AUDIO SYSTEM sold many speakers in Italy in the end of the '70 and at the beginning of the '80. The most famous speaker was Model One, although the following "Model 2", "Model 3", Subwoofer MG 27, KA1, KA20 SW and the incredible "Sound Window" (the first wall loudspeakers ever made), gained also notoriety due to their original projects.
The most important feature of the Models 1-3 were certainly the FLAT impedance curve obtained with a particular cross-over and the Q switch for the woofer which allowed a different damping of the bass frequences.
The FLAT impedance was probably the secret of their incredibly neutral sound with no colouration due to the easier work the amplifier had to do to pilot these louspeakers systems.
CIZEK Model One has been considered for many years one of the best 2-way system ever produced Strengths: Great Bass with no resonance and extraordinary control, no colouration, modern solutions for diffraction of high frequencies, absolutely FLAT impedance with only the peak of resonance at ca 38 Hz, one of the best tweeter (Peerles KO10DT) ever produced, cross-over of 1st order. Weaknesses: Risk of burn the tweeters due to the low cross-over frequency (1500 Hz): useful fuse could be added to protect them, some say that the CIZEK had no basses, but this was a false convictions. The Cizek basses were simply real. Similar Products Used: Thiel CS 1.6, Harbeth Monitor 30, AR 10 TT
