KEF C1 (Black Ash) Bookshelf Speakers

KEF C1 (Black Ash) Bookshelf Speakers

DESCRIPTION

Compact, versatile, and potent. Each speaker in the C1 bookshelf pair combines the superbly accurate 0.75 tweeter with tangerine waveguide with a slot-ported 4.0 midrange/bass driver and dense two-layer front-baffle system to deliver a complex, profoundly realistic, and spatially accurate soundscape. With excellent power handling and a carefully tuned crossover, this KEF C series speaker pair delivers a generously full performance that belies its discreet appearance and modest size.

Strength:

Detailed sound, tweeter is very precise and the front firing port makes it easy to position.

Weakness:

Not so great bass response. You may need a good subwoofer for a complete sound. Need a powerful Amp to work well.

Propably the best and most versatile small speakers for this little money. You don't even need a good amplifier, the smallest modell of a well known hifi brand will do. And then just listen to your favourite CDs - you will be delighted for very sure ! It's a genuine allrounder, too. The only mistakes that could happen to you are either not to buy a pair of these for a reasonable price or to connect them to a real higher class amplifier (because this would show the limits of those speakers). I don't think they will be produced much longer, so buy, if you get a price under $ 200 for a (new) pair ! Or a used pair in good condition for under $ 100.
