Strength:

It is true that the auto signal sensing does not work well at all, (amp shuts down at low volume) but since I wired it for 12v trigger power up it works flawlessly. Granite Bay Masonry

These units consume roughly 500 watts at full power. My modern home theater system is rated at 600 watts output while only drawing in the same power. Elk Grove Mobile Mechanic

Strength:

These speakers have been wonderful as mains and rears for my current 5.1 setup. I purchased a quad of them for $100 off craigslist and have been searching for weaknesses in the two months I've had them. Yonkers Semi Truck Engine Repair

Strength:

Pretty neutral and natural sound, detailed, well defined soundstage/stereo-image. Ideal for jazz, percussion and acoustical music. Fast, Tight bass. Still sounding great after 33 years!!!*

Weakness:

Bass doesn't go very deep, so not ideal for Hip-Hop and bass-heads. Highs can be somewhat harsh/revealing with certain sources. * Not really a weakness, but after two decades the foam frontcovers and the polyurethane wooferrings dried out and decayed. I refoamed the woofers succesfully with a set of new rings. After this small midlife crises our relationship entered a second chapter, living happily since then.. ;)

Strength:

Wonderful sound. Perfect for Classic music. Perfect bass. Made in UK. Low price.

Weakness:

Weak for modern music. None for its price,

I bought this pair of speakers on the web. The reason I bought it is the price. But finally I found it is treasure for my ampifier and CD player. A bestbuy for the classic music fan!

Strength:

sensitivity is 90db and can be used as biwire

Weakness:

Impedance is only 6 ohms, and the crossover is not put on the PCB, They just used glue and mounted on the card board

Brought HB1 almost a year and used Mythos audio vacuum tube and Rotel RCD961, the highs is okey but the low is not so punchy, but playing vocals disk is good the sound is sweet. Also using for Home theatre the sound is amazing

Good Bass Good Treble Good Looks Good Price

Weakness:

None

I bought these Heybrooks for a £150 from my local dealer. Because, 1 they fitted my budget, 2 they sound really good for the price and 3 they look good. But what appeals to me is te sound that they produce at the maximum 75W per channel the bass is low - when you are listening to Hard House and the Treble is really good when listening to classical and jazz. So, if you can't afford the B&W 602 S1's go for these, don't buy the Wharfdale 6.1, 6.2 or 6.3, because none of them sound as good as these.

Wharfdale 6.3 - crap!
