Casual Listener

Aurum Cantus V2M is the replacement of the old Leisure 2 SE model. V2M like L2SE has a (shielded) ribbon tweeter of pure aluminum (G2N), a Kevlar and nonwoven carbon fiber woofer, and high quality crossover components. The cabinets are cone-shaped with parabolic structure and the high gloss paint finish of the side panels is exceptional. It's really hard to take your eyes off them. Same with ears after the first listenings. V2M is by and large brilliant. I've auditioned dozens of speakers in this price category (or even more expensive) before I buy the Aurums: Monitor Audio, Quad, Dali, Chario, Wharfedale, Tannoy, Avance, Mirage, B&W, Mission, Triangle and many more. V2M is one step beyond.
Transparency, clarity, silkiness, especially in the mid-areas. Extended, delicate, detailed and fast highs.
And lows? Impressive! So dynamic and realistic you won't believe this is a bookshelf speaker! And all these in an absolut balance! I believe that (except from the price) this is the datum line which makes the V2M more seductive vis-?-vis to the bigger V3M.
V2M won't repine against your bad recordings. You'll only like them less than your good ones.
In a few words is a quite serious speaker yet not at all unforgiving.
V2M loves music!
And don't think that the 'far east' origin is a fool's trap! I found myself very happy to regret thoughts like these.

If you're looking for a pair of speakers of this price you should give V2M a try...
