Review NaN of , from Burleson TX USA

Price Paid:  $57.00 from EBay

Summary:
I found the S20's a perfect compliment/ rear channel speaker to the already excellant S50's. Even better it was a "damage" buy on eBay with a very slight cabinet ding to one speaker back corner. It uses the same upper half driver compliment as the S50's, just a perfect small front channel or a very detailed rear channel speaker.

Strengths:
Same mid bass and tweeter detail and drivers as the larger S50. Large sonic foot print for its size.

Weaknesses:
None that I have found!

Similar Products Used:
JBL, Mission, Infinity, Pioneer

Review NaN of , from Atlanta

Price Paid:  $97.00 from UBid

Summary:
When I 1st got them I hook them up as front speakers for the den's set to break them in. Let me tell you right out of the box they sounded GREAT! After the break in they sound even better, now the S20's are in the Theater used as rears. They match up very well with the rest of the Staure line. I use to think that it did not make a difference if the speakers did not match the with what ever you have. I was soooooooo wrong I can hear things that i did not hear before. Also it really sounds like you are in the middle of the action, the S20's are replacing Infinity 200.2 Refrence bookshelf speakers. The Infinity's sound very flat to the AR's, It's like night and day in sound. I highly reconmend the S20's you have to hear them for yourself. At the dealer here they sell for 350.00 a pair, I got mine brand new for 60 bucks a pair not including shipping, man what a steal!

My System:

Sony 530d DVD Player
Sony 845 DD & DTS reciever
Onkyo CD Player
Proscan Hi-Fi VCR
Echorstar DD Sat box
Acoustic Research SC2- Center
Acoustic Research S 50- Mains
Acoustic Research S 20- Rears
Acoustic Research S112PS- (2) Subwoofers

Strengths:
Very natural and accurate. Mid bass is very strong nice soft highs.

Weaknesses:
None.

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $155.00 from online

Summary:
These speakers are amazing. The bass reproduction is phenomonal for the size. They'll dip way down there in frequency and overall sound is crisp and precise. I broke them in for 20 hrs on my front channels and at times actually forgot they were only bookshelfs. They have now been sent to the rear channel position, where I'm sure they'll shine.

While in the front position, they melded seemlessly with my AR SC2 center channel.

Looks are attractive and contemporary, however, I would have preferred if the fronts of the Stature series were finished in a piano finish rather than the speckled finish gloss finish that was used.

JVC RX-8000
Fronts - Wharfedale BD440C's
Rears - Acoustic Research S20's
Center - Acoustic Research SC2

Strengths:
looks, bass reproduction, sound quality

Weaknesses:
???
