"Gold Starlight: Neutral, powerful, high energy, high resolution; clean and artistically expressive. It is awesome to hear such realism in which each and every sound image is vibrant with life throughout." - AUDIO ACCESSORY 1997 Audio Cable Buyer's Guide I am using this digital cable for 2 years now and I am very satisfied. Even if I don't agree on the "neutral" term used on the quote, all the other words are right, especially the "clean and artistically expressive". In fact I have tried several others cables but always came back on the Gold Starlight III+ , thanks to this "expressivity", tonal variety and contrast that I've never found elsewhere. The bass are really powerful but could be overwhelmed if the drive (or the speakers) does not control this register. My only caveat would be about the treble which might be more airy. FYI my transport is an Audioméca Méphisto and the converter a Digital Audio Danemark ADDA 2402.

Strength:

Very insightful coaxial digital cable: a lots of detail; airy presentation, natural human voices.

Weakness:

A little "shy" low end.

If you are looking for musicality and details, this is one for you.In my system (Audio Analogue Puccini integrated amp., Harman Kardon CD 740 as CD transport and MSB LinkDAC as D/A converter) it sounds very clean and natural, with impressive soundstage.A bass is a little "shy", but never bumpy, and the control never comes in question. Very musical product! Recommended.
