Strength:

Really clears up imaging.

Weakness:

None that I can find

I bought these for $40 at the Audio Advisor site deciding I would take the plunge into expensive wire. I'm DAMN glad that I did. I'm pretty sure I don't subscribe to "burn-in" being necessary for something that is a wire and has ZERO moving parts (I feel that it just takes a while for you to actually NOTICE and can quantify the sound change and in the mean time your brain hasn't a clue), however the imaging coming from my NHT's SuperTwo's after putting in the interconnects between my CD player and amp REALLY improved and I think I noticed it immediately. To me spending lots of bucks on something that is not hard to fabricate at all (wire??? come on) and only requires knowledge delivered in any graduate electromagnetism physics class is the only reason I'm not giving it the highest value rating.

Strength:

Imaing, strong dynamics, excellent bass

Weakness:

The box thing is getting in the way

I have this for a few months, and I loved them...Bass is controlled, stereo imaging is excellent and everything juz sounds rite

Most cable maunfacturers only claimed their cable technology are patent pending...but MIT has already patented their stuffs!!!

And refering to the post below, I guess it will be more appropriate to compare apples to apples ....rather than to compare the T3 to something that worth more than 3 times its price!!!

Strength:

Clarity, quality of connecting points, "that box thing"

Weakness:

Very thick, a tad laid back, "that box thing"

Wow. What a great cable. Now that I've got mine burned in, the quality of the sound is impeccable. Rich, warm, and laid back. A perfect match for the sound of Rotel components. Excellent for the price, got mine for $55 at audioadvisor.com, supposedly they retail for around $100. Oh, and "that box thing" that I refer to is the small plastic enclosure at the recieving end of the cable. It contains passive electronics that help to correct for the inherent properties of copper, and overall add to a cable that in itself is worth the price. If they have a weakness, it's that Rotel-ish laid back sound. Not the overall best choice for those wanting a _lot_ of aural excitement. Excellent with acoustics.

Strength:

Clarity, Imaging, Better Bass

I bought this after reading reviews on this cable.....i took a chance even though i haven't auditioned it. I have a bright 24/96 cd player and so having read that my cd player is cable dependent i decided to replace my Monster MK400 interconnects with the MIT T3's....Result = More detail, Clearer Mids, Better Soundstage and best of all it tamed my tweeters. I Guess that "box" really works. I am very satisfied. GO check it MIT out!!!

Strength:

Great for brighter sounding systems, firmer and clearer image, good for budget to mid-fi and lower high-end equipment.

Weakness:

At the price there is none

I had these cables for a few months and for the price I paid for it ($100 Canadian), it was really good. The cables
worked especially well with my Rotel Int Amp (RA-972) and
Acurus cd player. Brighter sounding systems will benefit from Terminator 3- it may sound just a tad laid-back and smooth but that is the way I like my music. For acoustic guitar and other instruments, there is plenty of air and ambience. Of course, the higher priced MIT cables may give you more imaging, soundstage etc. However these interconnects are more than good enough for most mid-fi systems (Cables can be an overkill). Give it a try- at the price you pay there is nothing to lose. Highly recommended.

Strength:

Clarity!!! Enhance bass and absolute dynamics

Weakness:

A little bulky and long run in time

Playing around with cables is an expensive hobby. I have tried many cables before settling down on this. That "box" thing actually works, the music becomes louder and clearer. Bass is well-controlled and imaging is precise. Soundstage expansion is the main reason why I am very impressed with this miracle cable. Price is very reasonable considering the execellent build quality and sound. Go for it, it is a very good buy

Strength:

nice looking connectors, not overbright, bass becomes "tighter"

Weakness:

soundfield is a bit distant, seemed to have a strange rhythm problem when connected between pre and amp

I originally purchased the TARA 22's (I can't remeber the full name) to go between my preamp and amp. Super horrible brightness resulted, cymbals sounding noticably smeared and even distorted. I hate the whole break-in thing, sounds like voodoo, and in the case of the TARA's, it was. I brought 'em back to the dealer, he gave me the MIT's, and so I went home and plugged them in. The sound became much more laid back(which I don't like), but transient detail seemed more coherent. The bass was noticably reigned in and became more accentuated, a big help for my 80's era B&W's. But then there was the rhythm problem (this is where some will think I'm crazy, but anyone who reads these things is probably a little affected also). I noticed after a few weeks of listening that I was becoming fatigued; this happens to me all the time in the studio, sitting for hours in front of a pair of NS-10's, but that's obviously because the tweeters on things are like drills in your head. This new-felt annoyance seemed to be a sort of rhythmic confusion I was perceiving- things justed seemed unconnected and ultimately just slightly confusing. I pulled the MIT's after a few weeks' use and plugged in a pair of Audioquest Turquoise. These are not high-end, but they exhibit a detailed sound with high frequency zing and air that I associate with the "high end". They kill the TARA's, which on my system sounded horrible, and my system sounds rhythmically "correct" again. Strange thing though- I tried the MIT's between the CD player and pre and they sound just fine there, killing some of the bite from my crappy Marantz 48 CD player. If anyone can explain to me why the rhythm problem was made apparent with the cable plugged in between the amp and pre, I'll be very impressed.

One more thing- how come the boxes don't open? What's in them, what are the quality of the parts, does MIT's cable rating system have any bearing on sound or life in general?

Weakness:

Sound HORRIBLE compared to MIT 330 Plus Series II

I had been using these in my system (along w/ the AQ Turquoise) for about 1 year before I decided to try the MIT 330+ interconnects. I left the 330s in my system for about 1 month before comparing them to the T-3s and Turquoises.
The difference was frightening. It was hard to believe that I'd been happy with my system at all. The T-3s sounded cold and harsh and thin. The Turquoises were even worse.

If you're going to spend $2500 or more on an audio system, it's really worth it to spend a couple hundred more on interconnects. In my 4-5k system (around $2300 used), there was absolutely no contest between the $50 T-3s and the $150 330s.
