Strength:

I didn''t harm the sound.

Weakness:

You many need to find a new hobby if your speanding hours researching this stuff and purchasing $200 power chords.

I bought this out of curiosity. I currently use the Monster HTS5000 power conditioner. I first pluged the chord into my Rotel 1065 Receiver and into the power conditioner. I did not notice any difference, which is probably a good thing. Then I tried the chord directly in the wall outlet. It did give a slightly more open sound, but for about $200 for a power chord...was it worth it? I deceided to return the chord. A more worthwhile and noticable tweek is higher quality interconnects and / or speaker cable. I guess if you have really bad power problems this might be the right solution. However, you''re probably better off purchasing a high quality power regenerator or conditioner. Protecting my $2000 receiver with only a power chord was not worth the piece of mind that a quality surge protector can provide. I''m tempted to give it 3 stars, however; I can''t blame the product if it does what it''s supposed to do - supply power. It did seem to be made of incredible quality. I think you could knock someone out with it if swung properly. Strength:

real natural, wide and deep soundstage, sounds like analog

Weakness:

none yet

I hear lots of strengths and weaknesses about so many powercords have and I also tried and found the same results
While they are improving some points they are spoiling mostly the others, just because they are not exactly natural
I was looking for a powercord that it could clean RFI and EMI thus I could have the detailed (micro and macro),smooth
(without harshness)and got body(like a live music)sound
I bought two G Clef for my cd player and my preamplifier
Firstly the sound had a veil and a bit compressed though
it had a great body but after a few days veil lifted and
every note came to the right place ,all details appear with
a nice musicality ,as if that was analog not digital,
amazing soundstage kept me listening music many hours
if you are looking for a powercord real natural and dont
want to pay for a line conditioner and dont want to pay
2-4 times higher price for the other brands that I suspect
their naturalness try this cable you will write your review
after you have as I am now writing mine.
PS: I use Power Clef for my power amplifier and it has the
same specs, it is thicker and produced for power amps

Not very fast if you compare it with Kimber.

I am using it for my Krell CD player and the sound is much more musical.

Very musical and revealing. Open up the soundstage a lot. IEC plug is the best I had ever seen (Combak is using the same IEC). Did I say the cable is very musical? Overall, highly highly recommended.

I have a lot of power cables before. eg:Cadas Hexlink5c, XLO Type 6 and 10, Apex power cord, NBS Dfly, Aural Symphonics CubeII.... Price is from CAN$300 - $1000. But finally the new Gutwire G Clef power cord is the best among them.I can the rythem of the music from it. The sound stage of it is the best. The bass just is a little bit less than Aural Symphonic CubeII(CAN$1000). But G Clef only is CAN$380. I love it.

I posted Power Clef before! But I have G Clef too. To use it for CD or Pre. amp. is better than Power Clef! Good! I think Power Clef is good for power amp so it is called Power Clef.
