Strength:

Ferrite core, silver coated copper wire, silver connections internally, price

Weakness:

None

I've owned this cable for about a week now. It replaced a AR Pro Series S-video which was no slouch itself. Right of the bat I could see a definite improvement in picture detail and color saturation. Just try watching Monsters Inc and you'll see what I mean. Here's the specs. Notice the silver coated wire and ferrite core(FNT Tech) AR® exclusive FNT™ technology provides the most comprehensive, advanced noise suppression for greatly improved picture definition. Frequency-corrected multi-fine stranded silver-coated >99.99% pure oxygen-free copper conductors deliver optimum high-frequency signal transfer. Teflon® insulation provides the lowest dielectric absorption with low constants for hightest signal integrity performance, purity and accuracy. Precision-machined 24k gold-plated S-video connectors for superior fit and signal transfer. Six layers of shielding: three 100% overlapped Mylar® foils for maximum RFI isolation and three copper braids for maximum EMI isolation. Before you think of spending hundreds on cables. Give these a shot

Strength:

Look. Thickness. Quality. Performance.

Weakness:

MAYBE TOO THICK. NOT a big name like Monster CABLE.

GREAT CABLE. Hoopers cave it to me at 2% over cost. Much better deal for the VERY PRICEY MONSTER CABLES. Cable is thick and very good looking. Gives a great picture. I was worried at first about getting these instead of Monster Cable, BUT I dont think my system could perform any better.

Strength:

Directional hook up guides Twist lock hook-ups

Weakness:

Not much detail on packaging for cable content/materials/gauge.

Bought these (6ft) to set up my DVD player to a 5.1 ready reciever w/o digital capability along with a TV with only one S-video input that was being utilized by my Satelite. Prior to hooking up the DVD player I did an A-B comparison with my Better cables S-video. Not much of a diffence except in very fine details where black and white levels are adjacent. All in all a good cable.
