Strength:

Great build quality and materials. Thick construction. Locking collars. Compares to cables 5 times its price.

This is a great digital cable for many reasons. First..This is Accoustic Reasearch's Top of the line and the package this cable comes in is like a vault. The hard plastic shell requires a screw-driver to open it up! The cable is very thick and well made. It has very secure locking twist collars that are 24k gold plated. The AR digital cable makes my othe MIT digital cable look thin and flimsy. The Sound: I used 2 other hi-end digital cables to compare the Acoustic Research "Master Series" digital coax cable with. I was very impressed with the sound quality. The sound was full and rich. I am not sure I could tell a difference between the AR cable and the MUCH more $$ digital cables. "IMO.. This is a Digital Cable bargain." It is built well and AR uses Four Layers of Shielding: two 95%+ copper braids and two 100% overlapped Mylar® foil. Frequency-corrected, silver coated, solid >99.99% pure oxygen-free copper center conductor.

Strength:

Looks. Build Quality. Thickness. Performance.

Weakness:

Thickness. MAYBE TOO THICK!

Great cable. Looks great, and is very thick. Was hesitant at first too go with these over monster cable, BUT they are great. It also helps that I got them at 2% over cost. They reall perform. GREAT DEAL, but EVEN BETTER PERFORMANCE.
