Clean power, just git to turn it up a lot to here it and all the way up to have it loud.
Less distortion from it than other brands.
I got the mk ll silver one very look looking better than the black one
Rated 80x7 would be a great unit for movies or gaming.
I'm a stereo junky if its gets a 4 star from me its really good
If it get a 5 star than its excellent find.
I have a lot of brands onyko,denon,pioneer,realistic,
quadraflex, reference audio this rates closer to the newer pioneer 90's not the bad a** 70 and early 80's.
If you find one about $100 or less you'll be happy with it.
Except make sure you have a remote with it because some funtions you can use with it,like bass and treble.
I only paid $50 for this but would of paid more.

1 Chanel (surround left) just keeps failing. Repaired once, then still no signal after a while. Same with subwoofer - no signal. That is just unacceptable. I didnt even know that this could happen to an amp. Will never buy Marantz again.

Strength:

- clean, powerful amplification - although I haven't pushed the amp to its limits.
- good-looking (I have the silver finish).

Weakness:

- doesn't give control over sub-woofer crossover frequency, and the manual doesn't even list what the fixed crossover frequency is
- amp doesn't switch off automatically when not in use (eg no input signal received for some time)
- doesn't have Dolby Pro Logic IIx which is needed to create a 6th channel from the widely-used Dolby 5.1 encoding - so my rear surround speaker is wasted on the majority of movies!

I have found the Marantz SR4400 to be a nice amp with a good range of controls and customisation options.
