I bought this to replace a JBL EC25 center speaker in order to improve the brightness and clarity of vocals while watching TV or movies. The A4 sounded bright and sharp, with enough loudness, but it lacked in the mid-range, where voices generally reside. I ended up using this in conjunction with the JBL to cover both frequency bands. The A4 was very bright and crisp sounding with good volume, but very lacking in the mid-range where voices typically are. Ended up using this and the JBL in parallel to have both frequency ranges.
