I know this puts me in the old fart category but no matter. Sorry digifolks but unless you spend megadollars on CD hardware to iron out all that nasty, gritty, unmusical, ear-assaulting CD glare, the fact is - vinyl still rules. This cartridge is/was a bargain, then and now, (if they're still making and selling them, that is). Purchased and installed in 1981, it's been going strong ever since producing wonderful music (isn't that what it's all about?). Incidentally, I recently spent a wheelbarrow load of $$$ on CD transport, DAC and interconnects and the whole show still isn't as satisfying as the superb results I can get from good old 12 inch analog LPs. I'm afraid CD just doesn't come up to scratch (pun intended).
