I love so much this mini. I got it for $399.00 CDN last X'mas at a Sony shop.It has plenty of features you can do, e.g. set spectrum pattern, set audio
emphasis, store setting in profiles etc. I think it is worth more than this
price. I forgot to mention it was $100 off for sale ( $499.00 regular before tax).
Compared to other mini, I found its bass boosting is great ( 1, 2 and Groove).
Grooving it like blowing away the roof of my house off, despite it is only
50 X 2 watts.
It plays music wonderfully,as you feel the highs and lows. With only one third
of its volume, its punch and note excites me so much already.
I also hook it with a VCR from which I pass the TV program audio to it. It
amplifies audio effect together with a Pioneer stereo receiver. What a
enjoyment with good audio reproduction. Although I have a main audio system
upstair, this mini has a better playback on music.
Its remote is a magic. No matter where you point to, the mini will receive
its signal without any problem. The other remotes I have require you to
point to the component. I wonder if it is a 'sonic' remote, rather than
laser beam.
Its only problem is the tuner reception. It is not locking tight to channel,
as I compare it with a receiver. But it is not a big deal to me, as I only
listen to radio occassionally.
For its price and overall quality, I give it a 5 stars.
