Strength:

Inexpensive

Weakness:

Digital Servo CD Player seems unable to play CDR's Reliably

Main Speakers although pretty looking are a joke at 2.5 inches subwoofer is not as good as my creative labs Cambridge Soundworks four point surround.

The unit is very hansome in Cherry.

The real issue is two units now consistently will not play CDR's the servo mechnism recalibrates very much when reading the TOC all my other audio CD players Kenwood CD-203 and Pioneer 12 pack car deck do not have this problem.

Cost $169 CDN at Toys R Us (Really!)

A pretty good unit, I don't what you say for the money you can't do better. The mirco unit can fit anywhere. It doesn't sound like a the JVC 9000 which is about 600.00 US,
but sound as good as many more expensive micro systems.

Strength:

Small. Looks nice.

Weakness:

Sound quality poor.

"Powered subwoofer" is a joke. Distorts easily, very weak (even for rated 15 watts). Subwoofer also increases footprint, which contradicts with unit's (original?) design principles. RCA would have done better to invest in better main speakers than to provide this marketing gimmick.Company should fire the team member who suggested adding the subwoofer.

Remote buttons are too small, confusing. Actual console controls are ok. LCD can't be seen from steep angle, so don't count on placing this thing on a high shelf. Basically, a knockoff of better-engineered high-end minis. Avoid. Avoid.

Found this one on sale at Sam's for $149. After listening for 10 minutes, boxed it up and took it back. There are better values out there.
