Strength:

Appearance, powered subwoofer, and small satellite speakers. The Allura backlit remote makes this system.

Weakness:

None

Have owned various AIWA mini systems in the past which have all eventually demonstrated the same symptoms at the end of their life cycles; particular their CD's player. Extremely low quality systems.
Searched for a high quality system that would not need to be replaced as frequently as past. AIWA, Sony, Panasonic, etc. do not hold a match to this system; I've always underestimated the Kenwood brand until now. This is simply the highest quality mini system I've ever owned--even the packaging, speaker quality, documentation, speaker stands, and materials used to build this system speak for themselves. It truly is in a class of its own.
The backlit remote control for this system is amazing, specifically it's ability to serve as a universal remote, operating several devices from one (VCR, TV, etc.). At first I was skeptical about purchasing a single-cd system, but the sound quality and features of this system are unparalleled. A must own for mini system shoppers.

Strength:

Pure A amp operation with HDCD. Great sound even at very soft volume. I brought with MD deck. Great combination.
Compared with DENON, Pioneer and Sony of the same price range. Kenwood is the one.

Weakness:

Remote control too light and cheap.
Expensive for a micro-system

Good stuff. Hear to appreciate

Strength:

Everthing

Weakness:

bass is what you would expect for a mini-system

This little system looks cool as S%^t and can get pretty loud for how small it is. The sound quality that the speakers produced is absoultly amazing. I bought a cheap subwoofer and hooked it up and this system rocks. I love it.
