A nice and compact unit with decent power output and wonderful aesthetics. It is very easy too record mds and connect to audio or video sources.

Bottom Line:
Overall not bad for the price. The machine however is hot even after you turn off the machine (probably power is still used by the transformer) - and I find it disturbing esp. in a hot summer day.

The sound is acceptable given this is only a mini even when playing classical music.

Bottom Line:
I ordered the system with the optional tape deck and it works well. Although it is cassified as a micro-system when you put all the components together it is larger than I expected. The sound is very good although you must use a seperate component amp to drive the subwoofer that is built into the speaker. I was surprised you could not program all three cd trays for dubbing into the MD. You must program disc by disc. I guess I was spoiled by my CD carausell.
System looks awesome and sounds very good. I picked up my system for $500 including the tape deck
