Strength:

reciever and sub

Weakness:

front/center/rear speakers

Not a bad little system for the price. Your basically paying for just the reciever and sub, because the included speakers are crap. They can't handle anything below 200 HZ and it really shows. Once I hooked some Wharfedale 8.2's up to the front I was very impressed by the reciever. The included sub sounds great and never leaves me wanting more. Still need to replace the center channel and rears, especially the center. I don't know what JVC was thinking when they used the included center, which is the same as all the other speakers. It really takes away from movies and music. The reciever is relatively simple to use, the only complaint I have is that some functions can't be used from the remote. You also can't go back and forth between the radio and other connected devices without changing between fm and am; it gets pretty annoying. The remote is also only compatible with other devices that have some kind of special connection that you run from the reciever to the other devices. Still haven't figured that part out yet. Over all I think it's worth it just for the reciever and the sub. I don't think it's worth the retail price though.
